Fast food giant Burger King has announced that they will be cutting ties to most of their advertising that targets minorities, mainly hispanic & african american. BK says that young people today are less likely to purchase something based on racially targeted advertising.
Minority based advertising strategies worked well with Generation X however now that Gen X are ancient and dieing the Gen Y has become the hot demographic. Essentially Burger King’s market research shows that the younger generation ain’t as racist as they parents & grandparents.
Kind of refreshing although I will miss commercials like these:

Wonder what the job pays...
Apparently the Atlanta field division of the Drug Enforcement Administration has loads of recorded wire taps the honkey cops can’t understand cause its in Ebonics.
The DEA released a request for personal which includes 9 translators to accompany field officers into the hood to crack down on the black man. I will admit sometimes we be hard to understand but hey, if those cracka ass cracks can’t keep up with evolution of language that ain’t our problem.
The Smoking Gun defines Ebonics as:
“Ebonics has widely been described as a nonstandard variant of English spoken largely by African Americans. John R. Rickford, a Stanford University professor of linguistics, has described it as “Black English” and noted that “Ebonics pronunciation includes features like the omission of the final consonant in words like ‘past’ (pas’ ) and ‘hand’ (han’), the pronunciation of the th in ‘bath’ as t (bat) or f (baf), and the pronunciation of the vowel in words like ‘my’ and ‘ride’ as a long ah (mah, rahd).”
Detractors reject the notion that Ebonics is a dialect, instead considering it a bastardization of the English language
